Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday dedicated Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd (RFCL) fertilizer plant here in Peddapalli district that has been revived at a cost of Rs 6,338 crore, to the nation. Commercial production in the plant began last year. Modi also virtually inaugurated 54.1 kilometres of railway line from Bhadrachalam Road to Sattupalli built at a budgeted cost of Rs 990 crore. The Prime Minister virtually laid the foundation for three national highway road projects in the state that would be taken up at a budget of Rs 2,268 crore.

Telangana to develop dedicated industrial park for Taiwanese companies

A team from Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (TEEMA) and Taipei Economic and Cultural Center (TECC) on Friday met Telangana Minister for IT and Industries K T Rama Rao and discussed a wide range of topics ranging from trade and economic cooperation to cultural exchange programmes. An official release said the minister spoke about Telangana's unique investment policy, TS-iPASS and also highlighted about creating a dedicated industrial park in the State for Taiwanese companies and jointly work with industry and trade organisations of Taiwan to take it forward. Prime Minister Narendra Modi would dedicate to the nation a fertilizer plant at Ramagundam in Telangana on Saturday, besides inaugurating and laying foundation stone for multiple development projects in the state. Modi would inaugurate the RFCL fertilizer plant at Ramagundam in Peddapalli district which has been revived at a cost of Rs 6,338 crore, Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy said in a tweet. Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be coming to Ramagundam in Peddapalli District of Telangana on November 12 to dedicate a plant of Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemical Limited (RFCL) to the nation, said Bhagwanth Khuba, Union Minister of State of Chemicals & Fertilisers, on Wednesday. Polling underway in Telangana's Munugode assembly constituency bypoll

Polling was underway amid tight security in the bypoll to Munugode Assembly constituency in Telangana on Thursday. Voting began at 7 am and will continue till 6 am. Over 2.41 lakh voters are eligible to exercise their franchise in the election. There are a total of 298 polling stations and web casting would be done from all of them. Of the total, 105 booths have been identified as 'critical.' BJP candidate rejects TRS' charge of money transfer to induce voters

The Election Commission (EC) has asked Telangana's chief electoral officer to keep a "close watch" on the Munugode Assembly constituency through "various enforcement agencies" ahead of the November 3 bypoll amid allegations of attempts to induce voters. The direction came after the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) alleged that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate K Rajagopal Reddy transferred Rs 5.24 crore from his family-owned firm's account to 23 people and entities within the constituency. Responding to an EC letter, Reddy rejected the allegations made by the TRS, including any "formal relationship" with the firm. The BJP candidate, the EC letter said, also denied all 23 alleged bank transactions "categorically, one by one". "In view of the fact that the representation made by the TRS does not provide any proof in support of the allegations, which have been duly denied by the said candidate, you are directed to keep a close watch on the constituency through various enforcement .
