Adani New Industries installs wind turbine, taller than Statue of Unity

A wind turbine taller than the world's tallest Statue of Unity with blades spanning wider than the wingspan of a jumbo jet has been installed at Mundra in Gujarat by Adani New Industries Ltd as part of its renewable energy expansion plans. "Adani New Industries Limited (ANIL) on Thursday announced the installation of country's largest Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) in Mundra, Gujarat," a company statement said. The turbine has been installed by Mundra Windtech Ltd (MWL), a wholly-owned subsidiary incorporated by Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL). This prototype is also the first addition to the portfolio of Adani New Industries Ltd (ANIL) and has laid the foundation for installation of even bigger wind turbine generators, it stated. PM Modi dedicates maze garden, houseboat service near 'Statue of Unity'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday dedicated three attractions, including a Maze Garden, in Gujarat's Ekta Nagar near the 182-meter high Statue of Unity. A government release said the PM also inaugurated a 'Miyawaki' forest and a houseboat. On the first day of his three-day Gujarat visit, the PM along with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel reached Ekta Nagar, formerly known as Kevadia, in Narmada district to inaugurate these new attractions, said the release. "The newly added Maze (labyrinth) Garden, spread across three acres with a pathway of 2,100 metres, is the largest maze garden in the country and has been developed in a short span of just eight months. "It has been built in the shape of a 'yantra' that emanates positive energy. Winding through the puzzling roads of this garden will be challenging for the tourists' mind, body and senses," the release said. Vice-President Dhankhar visits Statue of Unity, Arogya Van in Gujarat

Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Thursday visited the Statue of Unity at Kevadia in Gujarat's Narmada district. He also visited Arogya Van at the site of the statue, located around 200km from Ahmedabad, along with Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat. The Statue of Unity is an iconic 182-meter tall tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and it was inaugurated in 2018. "At the feet of the Statue of Unity - feeling blessed, invigorated, energised, inspired and motivated to be in service of Bharat. Eminently deserving tribute to the Iron Man and Unifier of Bharat. @souindia #SardarPatel," Dhankhar tweeted after his visit.
