Congress government in Rajasthan totters after deputy chief minister Rajesh Pilot threatens to walk out, saying he has the support of 30 party MLAs.
The statement released on Pilot's WhatApp group claimed that the Gehlot-led Congress government is in minority now.
Pilot has argued that these MLAs had defeated Congress MLAs, and making them ministers would demoralise the party.
Pilot, who is camping in Delhi, has declared open rebellion, claiming that he has the support of 30 Congress MLAs and some independents in the state assembly
Addressing a press conference at Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's home here, Rohit Bohra, Danish Abrar and Chetan Dudi called themselves 'soldiers' of the party
Congress general secretary in-charge for the state Avinash Pande said all party MLAs in the state were in touch with him
Gehlot has alleged that the opposition BJP is trying to topple the Congress government
"Will we wake up only after the horses have bolted from our stables," he said on Twitter
Leader of opposition Gulab Chand Kataria said the chief minister should handle his party's internal crisis and should stop making "false accusations" against the BJP
He also said that it is important that "money is pumped and purchasing power of people is enhanced so that demand can be generated".
"BJP leaders are playing the game at the behest of Central leaders. MLAs were offered money... Rs 10 crore in advance and Rs 15 crore after the government is toppled," the chief minister claimed
