In a strong rebuttal to BJP chief Amit Shah's allegations against her government, PDP supremo and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti today said several "false charges" have been levelled against her party and asserted that her commitment to the common minimum programme never wavered. Breaking her silence on the series of allegations levelled by her former ally, the BJP, on the state government led by her, Mehbooba said it was sad to see the saffron party disown its own initiative and label it a "soft approach". Many false charges levelled against us by our former allies. Our commitment to the Agenda of Alliance, co-authored by (BJP national general secretary) Ram Madhav & (and) endorsed by senior leaders like (Union Home Minister) Rajnath (Singh) Ji never wavered. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today said she was appalled by the incident wherein 'Dangal' fame actress Zaira Wasim was allegedly molested on a flight, and sought swift action in the matter. The actor has alleged that she was molested by a co- passenger on board a Delhi-Mumbai flight and narrated her ordeal on Instagram via live video. Any harassment/crime against women shld (should) be dealt with swiftly & (and) effectively.As a mother of 2 (two) daughters I am appalled at what happened with @zairawasimz. Mehbooba Mufti re-elected as PDP president for sixth consecutive term

Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti was today re-elected the president of the Jammu and Kashmir People's Democratic Party (PDP) for the next three years. Mehbooba's election for the sixth consecutive term was unanimous, party leaders said. She thanked party leaders for "reposing their trust and electing me as their president". "Will work tirelessly to fulfil our shared vision of development, inclusiveness and reconciliation in J&K," she wrote on Twitter.
