J&K becomes first UT to be integrated with national single window system

Jammu and Kashmir has become the first Union Territory to be integrated with the national single window system as Lt Governor Manoj Sinha launched the J&K single-window portal, integrating it with the national single-window system. While 130 industrial services have been made online on a single-window system, over 160 more services would be integrated this year, the Lt Governor said. In a series of tweets, the Lt Governor said his administration is linking Jammu and Kashmir into a web of partnerships with the domestic and foreign companies and ensuring global best practices in our regulatory institutions and system. In the last one year since the launch of the new Industrial development scheme, our policies have evolved to make Jammu and Kashmir more competitive and more lucrative for industries and service enterprises, Sinha said. In January last year, the Jammu and Kashmir administration announced a new industrial developmental scheme (IDS) with a total outlay of Rs 28,400 crore

Covid-19 pandemic: 2,304 new cases, nine deaths in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday recorded 2,304 fresh cases of coronavirus, raising its tally to 4,40,480, officials said. The union territory also reported nine fresh deaths which pushed the toll to 4,692, they said. Of the fresh cases, 996 were reported from the Jammu division and 1,308 from the Kashmir division, the officials said. They said Jammu district recorded the highest of 443 cases, followed by 439 cases in Srinagar district. There are 29,829 active cases in the union territory, while the number of recovered patients was 4,05,959, the officials said.

Centre, J-K to collaborate for next generation administrative reforms

The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) under the Union Personnel Ministry will collaborate with the government of Jammu and Kashmir for next-generation administrative reforms, an official statement issued on Tuesday said. The DARPG and the Jammu and Kashmir government will collaborate on creation of an online portal for monitoring progress in 58 District Good Governance Index Indicators, adoption of e-HRMS in the Jammu and Srinagar secretariats, and online monitoring of citizen satisfaction in 150 e-services through Jammu & Kashmir e-services delivery assessment framework, it said.
