It said that the revision of electoral rolls will cover existing residents of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. In an advertisement published in local dailies by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, the administration said the summary revision of electoral rolls is undertaken by the Election Commission from time to time according to the laid down process. A 48-year-old Delhi based garment trader allegedly working as an agent in routing hawala money to terror outfits Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Al Badr has been arrested from here, police said on Friday. Mohammad Yaseen, a resident of Turkman Gate here, was arrested in a joint operation by police from Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir and central agencies on Thursday, they said. During interrogation, Yaseen revealed to the police that hawala money was being routed to India through South Africa and collected in Surat and Mumbai. He ran a garment business in Meena Bazaar and was the Delhi link to send this money to terror operatives in Jammu and Kashmir through couriers, Special Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) HGS Dhaliwal said. The government on Thursday ordered blocking of eight YouTube channels, including one operating from Pakistan, for allegedly spreading disinformation related to India's national security, foreign relations and public order. The blocked YouTube channels had over 114 crore views; and 85.73 lakh subscribers and the content was being monetised, an official statement said. The channels that were blocked under the Information Technology Rules-2021 include seven Indian news channels. The blocked YouTube channels made false claims such as demolition of religious structures by the Government of India, ban on celebration of religious festivals, declaration of religious war in India, an official statement said.
