Four companies receive Sebi approval for initial public offerings

Markets regulator Sebi has given its nod for the proposed initial public offerings of four companies -- BIBA Fashions Ltd, Keystone Realtors Ltd, Plaza Wires Ltd and Hemani Industries Ltd. These companies have received their respective observation letters from Sebi, according to an update on the regulator's website as on October 14. In Sebi's parlance, issuance of the observation letter implies the go-ahead from the regulator for the proposed IPO. Ethnic wear fashion label Biba Fashion, which is backed by Warburg Pincus and Faering Capital, had filed the Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) for an IPO in April. The proposed IPO comprises fresh issuance of equity shares worth Rs 90 crore and an Offer For Sale (OFS) of 2.77 crore equity shares by the promoter and existing investors, as per the draft papers. 13 firms ink non-disclosure agreement with Centre to use ULIP data

As many as 13 firms, including MapMyIndia, CargoExchange and Yes Bank, have signed a non-disclosure agreement with the government to access data from the Unified Logistics Interface Platform, the commerce and industry ministry said on Saturday. The Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) was launched on September 17 as part of the national logistics policy. The ministry said that 11 more organisations like Instavans and Trucks, Bosch India, Portlinks and Shiprocket are in the process of signing the agreement. The policy aims to bring ease of doing business in the logistics sector by simplifying the logistics processes, improving its efficiency, bringing in transparency and visibility, and reducing logistics cost and time. "Till date, 13 organisations - MapMyIndia, CargoExchange, Freight Fox, Conmove, Intugine, Eikonatech, Yes Bank, Superprocure, CargoShakti, CloudStrats, Shyplite, APSEZL, and AITWA have signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to access data on ULIP," the ministry

The upcoming 'DefExpo 2022', slated to be held in Gujarat's Gandhinagar, is set to be the first-ever edition exclusively for Indian companies, the Ministry of Defence said on Saturday. Over 1,000 exhibitors have registered and the numbers are anticipated to be the highest-ever recorded during the previous editions of DefExpo, it said. Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar comprehensively reviewed the preparations for the event, scheduled to be held from October 18-22, during the Apex Committee meeting here on Saturday, the ministry said in a statement.
