Hyundai Motor India today launched all new version of its compact sedan Xcent priced between Rs 5.38 lakh and Rs 8.41 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The six petrol variants are priced between Rs 5.38 lakh and Rs 7.51 lakh while the five diesel trims are tagged between Rs 6.28 lakh and Rs 8.41 lakh. Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) today reported a 8 per cent increase in total sales at 55,614 units in March this year. The company had sold 51,452 units in March 2016, HMIL said in a statement. Domestic sales were up 8.63 per cent at 44,757 units during the month, as against 41,201 units in the year-ago period, the company said. Exports in March this year stood at 10,857 units, as against 10,251 units in the same month last year, a growth of 5.9 per cent. For the fiscal ended March 31, 2017, HMIL said it sold 5,09,707 units as against 4,84,324 units in the previous year, up 5.2 per cent. Commenting on the sales performance, HMIL Senior Vice President - Sales & Marketing, Rakesh Srivastava said the company was able to close the financial year with highest-ever sales creating a strong momentum for the next year. The company's popular models Grand i10, Elite i20 and Creta achieved a record sales of over 10,000 units each in a single month in March, he added.
