HAL registers highest-ever revenue of around Rs 26,500 cr for 2022-23

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited said on Friday it has registered highest-ever revenue from operations of around Rs 26,500 crore (provisional and unaudited) for 2022-23 as against Rs 24,620 in the previous financial year, an eight per cent growth. HAL CMD, C B Ananthakrishnan said, Despite the challenges of supply chain disruptions due to geo-political situations, the Company could achieve the targeted growth in the top line. This was possible with the increased thrust on indigenisation and with the available inventory. He said the order book of the Bengaluru-headquartered company stood at around Rs 82,000 crore at the end of March 2023 after liquidation of the supplies during 2022-23. The cash flow of the company has improved substantially with payments of around Rs. 25,000 crore received from the various Defence customers during 2022-23, the statement said.

Govt inks Rs 6,800-cr contract with HAL to procure 70 trainer aircraft

The defence ministry on Tuesday sealed a deal with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to procure 70 HTT-40 basic trainer aircraft at a cost of over Rs 6,800 crore for the Indian Air Force. The ministry also finalised a contract with the Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T) for acquisition of three cadet training ships worth over Rs 3,100 crore. Both the procurement proposals were cleared by the prime minister-led Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) on March 1. "The ministry of defence on March 7 signed contracts with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) for procurement of 70 HTT-40 basic trainer aircraft and three cadet training ships respectively in the presence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh," the ministry said. State-run aerospace behemoth Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) will provide maintenance support services for engines of American MQ-9B Remotely Piloted Aircraft System, considered one of the most sophisticated armed drones globally. The HAL will provide the maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) services for the operations of MQ-9B drones in India, officials said on Wednesday. The announcement of the project comes amid India's ongoing talks with the US to procure 30 MQ-9B armed drones at a cost of over USD 3 billion primarily to crank up its surveillance apparatus along the frontier with China as well as in the Indian Ocean region. HAL inks pact with RPM on cooperation in chopper emergency medical services

The Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Response Plus Holding PJSC (RPM) will explore new opportunities for cooperation in the areas of emergency medical services, medical evacuation, helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) and other mutually-beneficial fields in India, and the Gulf and the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) regions. An MoU to this effect was inked on the sidelines of the ongoing Aero India 2023, Asia's largest air show here, an HAL statement said. The Hindustan Aeronautics Limited has an order book position of Rs 84,000 crore and another Rs 50,000 crore worth of orders are in the pipeline, its Chairman and Managing Director C B Ananthakrishnan said on Tuesday. He also said Argentina and Egypt have evinced interest in buying the HAL-built Light Combat Aircraft 'Tejas'. While Argentina's requirement is 15 aircraft, Egypt wanted a fleet of 20 LCAs, Ananthakrishnan told a press conference on the sidelines of Aero India 2023, Asia's largest air show underway at Air Force Station, Yelahanka here. "We are in a comfortable position today with an order of Rs 84,000 crore we are sitting on and orders in the pipeline are about Rs 50,000 crore," he said. Ananthakrishnan said indigenisation has been given thrust in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's emphasis on 'Atma Nirbhar Bharat'.

HAL to showcase indigenous products during DefExpo 2022 in Gandhinagar

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited said on Friday it is geared up to display its indigenous products at the 12th edition of DefExpo to be held at Gandhinagar from October 18 to 22. "HAL's participation will focus on technological excellence and indigenisation initiatives, under its business verticals such as fighters, trainers, transport aircraft, helicopters, engines, systems and avionics besides projecting the company's futuristic programs", the Bengaluru-headquartered company said. HAL to open office in Kuala Lumpur to support Malaysian Defence Forces

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited has signed an MoU for establishing an office in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). The office in Malaysia will help HAL in tapping the new business opportunities for Fighter Lead-in Trainer (FLIT) LCA and other requirements of Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) like Su-30 MKM and Hawk upgrades, the Bengaluru-headquartered company said in a statement on Thursday.
