According to the statement, the hike will benefit about 4.8 million central government employees and 6.1 million pensioners
The bills are likely to come up for Cabinet's consideration in the coming days and would be tabled in Parliament in the Winter Session.
DA payable under these orders would be paid in cash to all government employees with the salary for the month of October to be paid in November
