Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday attacked the BJP over inner party democracy, saying elections are not held in the BJP as its leaders are "fascists" and only wear a "mask of democracy". Govt wants to develop Rajasthan as centre of religious tourism: CM Gehlot

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday said his government wants to develop the state as a centre of religious tourism, for which places of worship should be equipped with all kind of facilities. At a meeting held to review the management of religious fairs, he directed officials for their safe conduct. "The state government is committed to provide the devotees all kind of facilities and security. The intention of the state government is that Rajasthan should be developed into a wonderful centre of religious tourism," he said. Gehlot conducts aerial survey of flood affected areas in Rajasthan district

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday conducted an aerial survey of flood affected villages of Dholpur district. He visited about a dozen villages of Sarmathura, Bari and Rajkheda areas and inquired about the rescue and relief operations. He directed the officers to provide prompt assistance to the affected after assessing the damage caused to public and private properties, crops and animals at the earliest, an official statement said. Tourism Minister Vishvendra Singh also took stock of the situation in the flood affected areas by helicopter along with the Chief Minister. Rajasthan government plans to provide smartphones to 1.35 crore women

Three major telecom companies of the country have shown interest in the Chief Minister Digital Seva Yojana of the Rajasthan government under which 1.35 crore women in the state are to be given smartphones, officials said Friday. A senior official said a high-level committee will take a decision on the bidders this month after evaluation. The government wants to complete this process at the earliest so that the scheme can be implemented before the assembly elections next year. The total cost of the project is Rs 12,000 crore. The technical bids for the government project were opened here on Wednesday. "Technical bids were opened on Wednesday.
