The number of listed firms on the BSE's Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) platform is set to hit the 100 mark with at least six companies lined up to list their shares this month.
	At present, 94 companies are listed on the SME platform of BSE. These firms raised about Rs 730 crore through initial public offerings (IPOs).
	Moreover, one more company, P B Films, has filed its draft offer documents with the exchange and is waiting approval, which will take the total number to 101. Many more firms are expected to follow the suit.
	Four companies -- Jiya Eco Products, M D Inducto Cast, Majestic Research Services and Solutions and VMV Holidays -- which completed their respective public offers last week, will list its shares on the SME segment in July.
	In addition, IPOs of -- Gala Print City and Loyal Equipments -- currently underway, are scheduled to complete on July 6 and July 7, respectively.

The Odisha government has offered to provide Rs 100 crore to the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro & Small Enterprises (CGTMSE).The state MSME (micro, small & medium enterprises) department has sent a proposal to micro units lender Small Industries Development Bank of India (Sidbi) in this connection."We have intimated to Sidbi on our readiness to provide Rs 100 crore to CGTMSE. The purpose is to create a special fund scheme for MSEs in Odisha. Our financial support to CGTMSE would help expand the ambit and coverage under CGTMSE", said a senior government official.Commercial banks in Odisha have extended loans of Rs 783.83 crore to micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in 2014-15 under the CGTMSE scheme of the Centre.As per available data, Rs 783.83 crore credit has been approved to 14,845 units in the state under the collateral free scheme. With far easier listing rules and significantly smoother regulatory mechanism, many Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) have made a beeline for listing on SME exchange of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The textile sector accounts for about 14 per cent of India's industrial production and nearly 12 per cent of the country's export earnings. CRISIL has analysed the performance of more than 200 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the textile sector, rated on the basis of their financials during the period 2011-12 to 2013-14 (financial year April 1 to March 31). The analysis reveals that while net sales have registered a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20 per cent, the operating profit and net profit margins have declined by 10-30 basis points (one percentage point is 100 basis points) during the three-year period.The operating profit margins declined on account of raw material price volatility and other factors. Additionally, higher interest and depreciation costs as a result of capacity additions and modernisation have also contributed to a decline in the net profit margins.
