Shikhar Dhawan needed 9 off the last last six balls that he had to face to get to a century, but all he managed to get was eight runs and finish on 99* off just 66 balls to get the Punjab Kings to 143/9. They were down to 88/9 at the end of 15 overs. There have been six extras as well, meaning that the rest of the 10 batters combined scored 38 runs in the innings. 

 

Mayank Markande picked four wickets while Umran Malik and Marco Jansen got two each and the first wicket of the match fell to Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Umran Malik came into the attack and bowled a short ball first up to Dhawan, who got it as far as fine leg where Bhuvenshwar Kumar was stationed to take the catch, but instead he fell outside the boundary ropes along with the ball.

Batting on 65, the Gabbar now is the proud owner of the Orange cap which is given to the leading run scorer of the tournament and it keeps on moving or stays on one head throughout the tournament depending on who is the leading run scorer.
