I recently participated in a panel discussion organised by the Department of Economic Affairs and the Securities and Exchange Board of India on June 8, 2022, at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. It was part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrating 75 years of independence. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman spoke on the growth in the number of retail investors in our country and the challenges faced by them.
