Quick Wrap: Nifty Pharma Index registers a drop of 2.18%

Nifty Pharma index closed down 2.18% at 11803.95 today. The index has lost 8.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Laurus Labs Ltd fell 4.93%, Strides Pharma Science Ltd rose 4.68% and Dr Reddys Laboratories Ltd dropped 3.28%. The Nifty Pharma index has decreased 16.00% over last one year compared to the 2.54% fall in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Consumption index has slid 1.75% and Nifty IT index has dropped 1.49% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has slid 0.44% to close at 15293.5 while the SENSEX has declined 0.26% to close at 51360.42 today.
