Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index records a surge of 2.54%

Nifty Media index ended up 2.54% at 1892.9 today. The index has added 0.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Nazara Technologies Ltd jumped 19.00%, Dish TV India Ltd gained 10.55% and Network 18 Media & Investments Ltd added 4.48%. The Nifty Media index has increased 3.00% over last one year compared to the 0.58% fall in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSU Bank index increased 1.98% and Nifty Auto index added 1.97% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.92% to close at 15699.25 while the SENSEX witnessed a rise of 0.88% to close at 52727.98 today.
