Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index declines 0.90%

Nifty Media index ended down 0.90% at 1901.4 today. The index is down 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Dish TV India Ltd slipped 3.85%, Saregama India Ltd jumped 3.24% and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd dropped 1.76%. The Nifty Media index is up 4.00% over last one year compared to the 0.15% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty IT index is down 0.70% and Nifty Energy index increased 0.63% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.15% to close at 15810.85 while the SENSEX is down 0.19% to close at 53134.35 today.
