Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index rises 2.05%

Nifty IT index closed up 2.05% at 28345.95 today. The index is down 1.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Mindtree Ltd gained 4.47%, Coforge Ltd added 3.94% and Mphasis Ltd jumped 3.45%. The Nifty IT index is down 3.00% over last one year compared to the 0.18% decline in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSE index added 1.88% and Nifty Commodities index added 1.53% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 0.85% to close at 15832.05 while the SENSEX added 0.82% to close at 53161.28 today.
