Quick Wrap: Nifty Infrastructure Index rises 1.16%

Nifty Infrastructure index closed up 1.16% at 4669.65 today. The index is down 2.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Larsen & Toubro Ltd gained 4.74%, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd added 2.94% and Ashok Leyland Ltd dropped 2.64%. The Nifty Infrastructure index is up 7.00% over last one year compared to the 3.13% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Energy index added 0.99% and Nifty Metal index has dropped 0.88% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 0.54% to close at 16220.6 while the SENSEX added 0.56% to close at 54481.84 today.
