Oriental Aromatics soars on getting environmental clearance for project

Oriental Aromatics jumped 8.08% to Rs 568.65 after the company said that its proposed Greenfield project in Mahad (Maharashtra) received environmental clearance.

The company's wholly owned subsidiary, Oriental Aromatics & Sons, secured the environmental clearance for the proposed Greenfield project for manufacturing speciality chemicals & chemical intermediates at Mahad, Raigad, Maharashtra.

The State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA), Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, granted the environmental clearance vide its letter dated 9 June 2022.

Oriental Aromatics are engaged in the manufacturing and sale of fine chemicals i.e. camphor, perfumery & specialty aroma chemicals, fragrances and flavour in India.

 

On consolidated basis, the speciality chemicals company reported 53.2% decline in net profit to Rs 10.48 crore on a 8.4% fall in net sales to Rs 202.87 crore in Q4 FY22 over Q4 FY21.
