Oil and Gas shares fall

Oil and Gas stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index falling 203 points or 1.01% at 19964.96 at 13:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index, Oil & Natural Gas Corpn Ltd (down 3.33%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 1.94%),Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 1.34%),Gujarat Gas Ltd (down 1.08%),Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (down 1.02%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Indraprastha Gas Ltd (down 0.67%), Petronet LNG Ltd (down 0.53%), Adani Total Gas Ltd (down 0.42%), and Reliance Industries Ltd (down 0.35%).

On the other hand, GAIL (India) Ltd (up 0.52%), moved up.

 

At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 151.08 or 0.25% at 60109.05.

The Nifty 50 index was down 50.6 points or 0.28% at 17893.65.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 50.21 points or 0.18% at 28393.21.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 1.26 points or 0.01% at 8952.55.

On BSE,1779 shares were trading in green, 1580 were trading in red and 126 were unchanged.
