India's IIP eases to 12.3% in June

India's factory output, measured in terms of Index of Industrial Production (IIP), witnessed a growth of 12.3% in June 2022.

Industrial production grew 19.6% in May 2022. IIP growth in June 2021 was 13.8%, the data showed.

The growth in IIP data during June was led by the manufacturing and electricity sectors.

The manufacturing sector's output grew 12.5% in June 2022. Mining output rose 7.5% and power generation increased 16.4%.
