CSB Bank Q3 net up 5% to Rs 156 cr on strong growth in deposits and loans

Total income rises to Rs 682 crore from Rs 580 a year ago. Asset quality improves

Kerala-based CSB Bank has posted a rise of 5 per cent in net profit for the third quarter of the financial year ended December 2022, to Rs 156 crore, from Rs 148 crore in the same period of FY22.

The lender's total income rose to Rs 681.95 crore from Rs 579.81 a year ago. Its asset quality improved sequentially, with gross NPA and net NPA ratios going down to 1.45 per cent and 0.42 per cent respectively. In absolute value, gross NPA was seen at Rs 271.29 crore, as compared to Rs 291.04 crore during the preceding quarter this fiscal.
