India reported an increase of 3,619 in active coronavirus cases to take its count to 136,076. The country is twenty-fifth among the most affected countries globally by active cases. On July 14, it added 20,139 cases to take its total caseload to 43,689,989. And, with 38 new fatalities, its Covid-19 death toll reached 525,557, or 1.20 per cent of total confirmed infections.

With 1,344,714 more Covid-19 vaccine doses being administered on July 13, India’s total count of vaccine shots so far reached 1,99,27,27,559. The count of recovered coronavirus cases across India, meanwhile, reached 43028356 — or 98.49 per cent of
