Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Friday said it has decided to temporarily halt bookings of top trims of its multi purpose vehicle Innova Hycross from April 8, owing to ongoing supply challenges. "We deeply regret to announce the temporary halt of bookings for top-end grades of Innova Hycross (ZX and ZX (O) only, with effect from April 8, 2023," the automaker said in a statement. The bookings of the other grades of Innova Hycross both the hybrid and gasoline, will continue, it added. Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) had launched the Innova Hycross in November last year. The model is available in both self-charging strong hybrid electric variant [SHEV], as well as gasoline variant.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Saturday said its sales increased by 9 per cent year on year to 18,670 units in March. The company had sold 17,131 units in the domestic market in March 2022. For the 2022-23 fiscal, the automaker reported a 41 per cent increase in wholesales at 1,74,015 units from 1,23,770 units in 2021-22 fiscal. "We are extremely pleased to close this fiscal year on a positive note and expect continued momentum and growth in the fiscal of 2024-2025. Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Wednesday said its wholesales increased 75 per cent year-on-year to 15,338 units in February 2023. The company had dispatched 8,745 units in the domestic market in February last year. "We are witnessing a continued interest from customers across our product portfolio, resulting in a very healthy growth in the month of February 2023," TKM Sales and Strategic Marketing Vice President Atul Sood said in a statement. Public sector Indian Bank has inked a pact with automaker Toyota Kirloskar Motor to offer vehicle financial options to its customers, the bank said on Tuesday. The tie-up would offer various initiatives including 90 per cent on-road funding with no processing fee, foreclosure and party payment charges to prospective customers. Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Wednesday reported a 175 per cent growth in vehicle sales at 12,835 units in January. The company had sold 7,328 units in the year-ago period, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said in a statement. "Even with a month-on-month strong growth of 175 per cent, we anticipate customer demand to gain further momentum in this year," Atul Sood, vice president, sales and strategic marketing at TKM, said. The carmaker had announced opening of bookings for its Hilux and the Innova Crysta models besides announcing the prices of the CNG variants of its Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The company has commenced dispatches of its Hycross SUV and is making efforts to meet the growing demand for the vehicle in the country, he said and added that its Urban Cruiser Hyryder also continues to witness healthy demand. Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Friday said it has commenced bookings for the updated version of its multipurpose vehicle Innova Crysta. The model now comes with a 2.4-litre diesel powertrain mated with a five speed manual transmission across four trims. It can be booked for Rs 50,000 at company dealerships or online, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) said in a statement. The opening of bookings for the new Innova Crysta comes on the heels of the launch of the Innova HyCross (available in Gasoline and Strong Hybrid Electric powertrains). Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Sunday reported a data breach in its system but said the extent of intrusion is being confirmed. In a statement, the company said it has been "notified by one of its service providers of an incident that might have exposed personal information" of some of its customers on the internet. "The extent of intrusion is being confirmed," Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) said in a statement. The competent authority CERT-In (Indian Computer Emergency Response Team) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has been notified, it added. "Considering this incident, TKM will work with its service provider to further enhance the existing extensive guidelines being followed and is fully committed to avoid any kind of inconvenience to our esteemed customers," the company said, apologising "for any concern" the incident may have caused to its customers.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Sunday reported a 3.8 per cent decline in its dispatches to dealers at 10,421 units in December 2022. The company had clocked wholesales of 10,834 units in December 2021, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) said in a statement. For the calendar year 2022, total wholesales were at 1,60,357 units as against 1,30,768 units in 2021, a growth of 23 per cent. The sales in 2022 were also the company's highest wholesales in the last 10 years, it said, adding the previous record was in 2012 with a total of 1,72,241 units. Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Wednesday said the new hybrid version of its multi-purpose vehicle Innova will be available at a price starting from Rs 18.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The Bengaluru-based auto major unveiled Innova HyCross in November and it will be available at the dealership from mid next month. The self-charging hybrid version of the vehicle has been priced between Rs 24.01-28.97 lakh (depending upon the variant) while the gasoline version will come in the range of Rs 18.30-19.20 lakh, the company said in a statement. The Innova HyCross comes with a self-charging strong hybrid electric system, a 2-litre petrol engine along with an e-drive sequential shift system. Toyota Kirloskar Motor will bring electric vehicles in India in future, but at the moment it is focussing on hybrid vehicles keeping in mind the objective of meeting holistic carbon reduction, company Vice Chairman Vikram Kirloskar said. Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Wednesday announced its foray into the CNG segment with the launch of Glanza and Urban Cruiser Hyryder trims with the environment-friendly powertrain. Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Tuesday reported a 6 per cent increase in domestic wholesales at 13,143 units in October. The company had sold 12,440 units in the same month last year in the domestic market, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) said in a statement.
