Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said players from the state winning medals in the Olympics and Asian Games will be appointed as deputy superintendent of police and deputy collector. Chouhan made the announcement on Monday while addressing the state government's sports awards distribution programme, which was also attended by Union Minister of Sports Anurag Thakur. On the occasion, Chouhan and Thakur unveiled the logo of 'Khelo India Youth Games-2022', scheduled to be held in Madhya Pradesh next year. Wrestler Ravi Dahiya's fighting spirit and tenacity got all round praise from the Indian sports fraternity on Thursday with the President and the Prime Minister leading the country in hailing his outstanding feat of winning a silver in the Tokyo Olympics. The 23-year-old Dahiya, competing in his maiden Olympic Games, settled for a silver after losing 4-7 to reigning world champion Zavur Uguev of Russian Olympic Committee in the men's freestyle 57kg title clash on Thursday.
