Asserting there will not be hung assembly in either Tripura, Nagaland or Meghalaya, as predicted in some exit polls, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday said the NDA will form the government with an absolute majority in all the three northeastern states. Sarma, the NEDA convenor, said no NDA (National Democratic Alliance) partner will go into any alliance with either Congress or the Trinamool Congress. "There will be no hung assembly. The NDA will form the government in all the three states," he told reporters here. When asked about candidates for the chief minister's post in the three states, he said there will be a status quo in Tripura and Nagaland. "Tripura will have a BJP CM, while we are in a coalition government in Nagaland," the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) convenor said. Stepping up his attack on the NDA government at the Centre, ruling TRS working president in Telangana K T Rama Rao on Tuesday alleged that the Centre's recent 'Rozgar Mela' (an online job fair) is a cruel joke on the unemployed youth. Saying that this new drama has been unveiled before elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, Rama Rao, son of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave an assurance that two crore jobs would be filled every year. In an open letter to Modi, Rama Rao asked if a White Paper would be released on the number of jobs filled by the BJP government in the past eight years. The TRS working president said the Telangana government has filled 1.50 lakh government jobs and has initiated the process of filling 91,000 more. : The NDA government at the Centre has spent nearly Rs 9,494 crore during the past eight years on 12 new major railway projects in Telangana, Union Minister of Tourism G Kishan Reddy said on Friday. Speaking at a function marking the dedication of a new railway line between Medak- Akanapet railway stations to the nation at Medak, Reddy said the Indian Railways has been taking several measures on the safety front resulting in a lesser number of accidents year on year. He said the Centre is proposing to set up a railway coach overhauling unit at Warangal with an investment of Rs 400 crore. The facility is expected to provide employment to 3,000 people.
