Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) on Wednesday said its newly launched model XUV700 has received a 5-star adult safety rating for adult occupant protection in a crash test conducted by vehicle safety accreditation group Global NCAP. The model has received the highest combined safety score (adult + child) of 57.69 out of a total of 66.00 among the Indian vehicles tested so far by Global NCAP which makes XUV700 the safest Indian vehicle and the first full-size seven-seater SUV in the country to receive five-star rating, the home grown auto major said in a statement. The SUV has achieved an adult score of 16.03 out of 17 and a child safety score of 41.66 out of 49, the highest among all the vehicles in India tested by Global NCAP so far, it added. Mahindra & Mahindra on Tuesday announced the addition of two new variants to its premium sports utility vehicle, XUV700, in both manual and automatic transmission with diesel engine. The seven-seater two new variants AX7 Luxury MT and AX7 Luxury AT+AWD ( All-Wheel Drive) - are priced at Rs 19.99 lakh and Rs 22.89 lakh, respectively, M&M Ltd said in a release. It also said these prices will be applicable for the first 25,000 bookings, which are slated to commence from October 7. The company is offering XUV700 in two series - MX and AdrenoX (AX). The AX7 variant will be available with an optional luxury pack. In addition to the standard AX7 features, the luxury pack will include features like immersive 3D sound, electrically deployed smart door handles, 360o surround view, blind view monitoring, electronic park brake, driver knee airbag, passive keyless entry and wireless charging, among others, it said. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd on Thursday announced the opening of bookings for its premium sports utility vehicle XUV700 from October 7. The XUV700 will come in variants including diesel and gasoline, manual and automatic options and with 5 and 7-seater capacity. It will also be available in an optional All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) spec. The bookings for XUV700 will commence from October 7 onwards, M&M said in a release. The automaker, however, has not announced the date for commencement of the deliveries. The company is offering XUV700 in two series - MX and AdrenoX (AX). The AdrenoX series is further classified into three variants - AX3, AX5 and AX7. The complete variant line-up aims at straddling a wide spectrum of buyers, starting at Rs 11.99 lakh for the MX series (MT, petrol, 5-Seater) and Rs 13.99 lakh for the AX series (MT, petrol, 5-Seater), it said, adding that all prices will be applicable for the first 25,000 bookings. Automaker Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) on Tuesday said it has launched compact SUV XUV 300 with automatic transmission. The company has introduced Petrol AutoSHIFT, its auto transmission technology, on the top variant of the model, the Mumbai-based automaker said in a statement. The trim will also come equipped with the all-new BlueSense Plus connected technology, it added. M&M further said the electric sunroof on the model will now be offered from mid variant onwards on both manual and automatic versions. "Today, we launch our innovative auto transmission AutoSHIFT on petrol, which uses advanced technology to offer an effortless drive in city drive as well as on the highways. Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) on Tuesday said its compact SUV XUV300 has received five-star rating for adult occupant protection from Global NCAP, an international safety accreditation body. The XUV300 becomes the first Indian vehicle to score the highest points among all five-star rated cars tested so far by Global NCAP, the auto major said in a statement. The vehicle also becomes the first Indian vehicle to score a four-star child safety rating, it added. "This is a proud moment for Mahindra as the 5-Star rating reiterates our unstinted commitment towards safety.
