Danfoss India, subsidiary of Denmark-based Danfoss, has drawn up plans to increase manpower and develop more 'Made in India' products to serve the local market, a top official has said. Danfoss India, on Thursday, completed 25 years of its operations in the country and 90 years globally. In 2022, Danfoss India registered double-digit growths in all three segments -- Danfoss Power Solutions, Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives, along with Danfoss Climate Solutions. The Indian subsidiary was also growing at the highest rate among all the Danfoss groups at the global level and Danfoss India is seen as a priority market with high growth potential. Indigenously manufactured weapon systems were the highlight of the Indian Army's 'Exercise Topchi', an annual firepower demonstration and training exercise conducted at the School of Artillery in Devlali here on Sunday. The mega event took place under the stewardship of Lt Gen S Harimohan Iyer, AVSM, Commandant School of Artillery and Col Commandant Regiment of Artillery. The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) is working on a new industrial policy that proposes to increase financing sources for industry and a scheme for promoting Made in India brand, sources said. It has suggested various ways for wider access to finance for the industry such as setting up of a development finance institution to provide finance at competitive rates and considering using some part of foreign exchange reserves for such funding. The draft - Statement on Industrial Policy 2022 Make in India for the world - has been circulated to different ministries for their views and comments. India's first indigenously developed quadrivalent Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine for the prevention of cervical cancer will be launched here on Thursday, officials said on Wednesday The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) had last month granted market authorisation to Serum Institute of India (SII) to manufacture an indigenously-developed vaccine against cervical cancer. Union Minister of Science and Technology Jitendra Singh will launch the vaccine at IIC Delhi. SII CEO Adar Poonawalla will be present at the event, the officials said. According to the officials, the qHPV vaccine CERVAVAC has demonstrated robust antibody response that is nearly 1,000 times higher than the baseline against all targeted HPV types and in all dose and age groups. Cervical cancer in India ranks as the second most frequent cancer among women between 15 and 44 years of age. The DCGI's approval had come following recommendation by the Subject Expert Committee (SEC) on COVID-19 of the CDSCO on Ju
