Automaker Kia India on Saturday said its sales wholesales declined by 5 per cent to 21,501 units last month, as compared to 22,622 units in March 2022. The company dispatched 8,677 units of Sonet, 6,554 units of Seltos, and 6,102 units of Carnival last month to dealers. For the 2022-23 fiscal, the automaker sold 2,69,229 units, a growth of 44 per cent over 1,86,787 units in 2021-22. "Our focus on offering futuristic design, combined with cutting-edge technology, has helped us in winning the Indian market and new-age customers alike. "With additional features and improvements in engine and transmission combinations in RDE-compliant vehicles, we are confident that we will continue our winning spree," Kia India VP and Head of Sales & Marketing Hardeep Singh Brar said in a statement.

Automaker Kia India on Monday reported a 94.7 per cent increase in domestic sales at 15,184 units in December. The company had sold 7,797 units in the year-ago period. In the calendar year 2022, the company said it witnessed a growth of 47.7 per cent with cumulative sales of 3,36,619 units. Its sales in 2021 stood at 2,27,844 units. Domestic sales also grew by 40.1 per cent to 2,54,556 units as against 1,81,583 units in 2021, while exports stood at 82,063 units in 2022. "Despite various headwinds like geopolitical issues, Covid-induced supply chain obstructions and price increase, we managed to register the highest sales ever for the brand in the country," Kia India VP and Head - Sales & Marketing Hardeep Singh Brar said in a statement. Kia India said its cumulative sales have crossed the 8-lakh milestone in 41 months since starting mass production in August 2019.

Kia India is looking to bring in more EV6 units into the country in order to cater to the pending bookings, the automaker said on Thursday. The company said it has delivered 200 units of the EV6, which comes as a completely built unit (CBU), to customers till date. This number is already twice the initially planned 100 units for the entire year, the South Korean automaker said in a statement. "Now, the company is planning to further increase the total allocation of EV6 in 2022 and complete most of the pending deliveries within this year," it added. The company had launched EV6 in the country in June this year, and the deliveries to customers began last month. "At the launch of EV6, amid the very positive response received, we had promised our customers to bring in more units of the EV6, over and above the initially allotted 100 units for 2022. Going forward, our focus will be on completing the deliveries of all the existing and new bookings at the earliest," Kia India Chief Sales .

Kia India on Tuesday said its wholesales increased 43 per cent year-on-year to 23,323 units in October. The automaker had dispatched 16,331 units to dealers in October 2021. The company dispatched 9,777 units of Seltos, 7,614 units of Sonet, 5,479 units of Carens and 301 units of Carnival to the dealers last month. "The demand that all Kia products have managed to generate in the Indian market signifies exciting times for the brand. It tells us that our product strategy was right on point since the very beginning," Kia India Vice President and Head of Sales & Marketing Hardeep Singh Brar said in a statement. The company has already crossed the 2-lakh cumulative sales mark in 2022 and with two months still remaining, the automaker is confident of ending the year on an unprecedented high, he added. With consistent strong sales for successive months throughout the year, Kia India has truly established itself as a force to reckon with in the Indian automobile industry, Brar stated.

Kia India on Tuesday said it is recalling 44,174 units of its latest model 'Carens' to inspect and fix any potential error in air bag control module software. As a responsible corporate, the company has decided to voluntarily recall the vehicles for inspection and if required, a software update will be provided free of cost, the automaker said in a statement. The voluntary recall campaign is being undertaken to inspect any potential error in air bag control module software in the Carens, it added. Automaker Kia India on Monday said its compact SUV Kia Sonet has crossed the cumulative sales milestone of 1.5 lakh units since launch in September 2020. The model has contributed over 32 per cent of the company's total sales and commands almost 15 per cent share in the highly competitive compact SUV category, Kia India said in a statement. Kia India on Monday said its sales increased 18 per cent year-on-year to 19,019 units in April. The automaker had dispatched 16,111 units to dealers in April 2021.
