Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover is stitching up partnerships to improve semiconductor supplies, as it looks to improve sales volume in the second half of the current financial year. In the September quarter, the marquee brand reported revenue of 5.3 billion pounds and wholesale volumes (excluding China JV) of 75,307 units, up 18 per cent, as compared with the July-September period of last fiscal. The automaker noted that despite strong demand and a record order book, sales during the second quarter continued to be constrained by the global chip shortage. "Partnership agreements with several semiconductor suppliers and more in progress are expected to enable improving volumes in the second half of the financial year ending March 2023 and beyond," JLR said in its interim report for the second quarter and six-month period ended September 30, 2022. Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) on Monday said it has commenced deliveries of the new Range Rover in the country. The model comes with a line-up of six and eight-cylinder powertrains, priced between Rs 2.38 crore and Rs 3.43 crore (ex-showroom). The new Range Rover comes with 3 litre petrol and diesel engines, respectively. The model also features a bigger 4.4 litre petrol powertrain. "The New Range Rover is the epitome of exclusivity and modern luxury, that strikes the perfect balance of peerless refinement with technological sophistication. It is truly, the most desirable vehicle meant for the most discerning of customers," JLR President and Managing Director Rohit Suri said in a statement. The new Range Rover comes with five seats in both Standard (SWB) and Long Wheelbase (LWB) body designs and an option of a third row for extended comfort for up to seven adults in the LWB, the automaker stated. JLR vehicles are available in India in 21 cities through 25 authorised outlets.

Jaguar Land Rover India (JLR) has opened bookings for the all-new Discovery Metropolitan Edition with prices starting from Rs 1.26 crore (ex-showroom), the company said on Monday. The latest seven-seater SUV comes with many upgrades and enhanced new age features, JLR said in a statement. Available with the P360 Ingenium petrol engine and the D300 Ingenium diesel engine, the new top-of-the-range Metropolitan Edition comes with standard specifications such as a 31.24 cm (12.3) interactive driver display, wireless charging with phone signal booster, four-zone climate control and heated steering wheel among others, the company said. Land Rover Discovery is perhaps the most versatile seven-seater SUV in the Indian market.
