Auto components major Bosch Ltd on Wednesday announced leadership changes with Guruprasad Mudlapur appointed as its Managing Director, and President of the Bosch Group in India with effect from July 1, 2023. He will succeed Soumitra Bhattacharya who will be retiring from Bosch India effective June 30, 2023, after 28 years of service in various capacities, the company said in a regulatory filing. Further, Bosch said from July 1, 2023, Sandeep Nelamangala, currently, Executive Director at Bosch Ltd and Executive Vice-President, Mobility Solutions at Bosch India, will be appointed as Joint Managing Director of Bosch Ltd. Bosch Global Software Technologies(BGSW) on Wednesday inaugurated its new smart campus here to strengthen its software-centric product innovations. The Centre of Excellence is a technology and innovation R&D hub focused on automotive engineering and digital enterprise, BGSW said in a statement. BGSW has two facilities already operational with a professional workforce of about 1,500 associates in Hyderabad. To consolidate their operations, they will be moving into the new state-of-the-art 1.5 lakh square feet facility, and plan to build the workforce talent in automotive engineering and digital enterprise, it said. The company aims to raise the workforce at the centre to 3,000 professionals by 2025, it said. Auto component major Bosch on Tuesday reported a flat consolidated net profit of Rs 372.4 crore for the second quarter ended September 30. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 372 crore in the July-September quarter of the previous fiscal. Its revenue from operations rose to Rs 3,662 crore for the period under review compared to Rs 2,918 crore in the same period last fiscal. "The surge in demand on the back of the continued recovery of the automotive market has contributed to a strong performance this quarter. We have witnessed robust topline growth, posting consistent profits over a low base in the same quarter of the previous year," Bosch Ltd Managing Director Soumitra Bhattacharya stated. Although semiconductor supplies have eased out relatively, the supply chain ecosystem itself continues to remain fragile, he added. "Despite these uncertainties, including rising input costs, we expect to build on the strong performance of this quarter," Bhattacharya noted.
Within mobility solutions, sales growth (up 48 per cent year-on-year or YoY) was led by the bread-and-butter powertrain segment, followed by aftermarket and two-wheeler business

Auto components major Bosch Ltd on Thursday reported a 27.28 per cent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 350.5 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 2022 dragged down by higher expenses. The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 482 crore in the same period previous fiscal, Bosch Ltd said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations during the period under review stood at Rs 3,311 crore as against Rs 3,215.9 crore in the year-ago period, it added. Total expenses in the fourth quarter were higher at Rs 2,972.2 crore as compared to Rs 2,693 crore a year ago, it added. For the fiscal ended March 31, 2022, consolidated net profit was at Rs 1,217 crore. It stood at Rs 480.7 crore in the previous fiscal, the company said. Bosch said its consolidated revenue from operations in FY22 was at Rs 11,781.6 crore in comparison to Rs 9,716.2 crore in FY21. The company said its board of directors recommended a dividend of Rs 110 per equity share of Rs 10 each
