Mumbai, Apr 01 (ANI): West Indies remained on course to win their second World Twenty20 title after thumping hosts India by seven wickets in a pulsating semifinal contest here at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday. Chasing a daunting target of 193, West Indies relied on Lendl Simmons (82 not out), Jonathan Charles (52) and some late flourish from all-rounder Andre Russell to cross the finishing line with two balls to spare. Simmons was caught three times but made the most of his fortunate reprieves to help West Indies set up a final against England on Sunday. The right-handed Simmons plays for Mumbai in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and was only called into the squad two days ago as a replacement for the injured Andre Fletcher. Dhoni said the toss was crucial and the evening dew made it tough for his spinners to grip the ball.
