The domestic macros construct is further rendered stronger by the high GDP growth expected this year and the declining interest rate environment. These are the reasons why FIIs have been on a buying spree in the Indian market during the last sixteen trading sessions," he said.

At around 11:40 AM, the Nifty PSU Bank index was up 0.92 per cent at 7,041.90. In comparison, the NSE Nifty was up 0.37 per cent at 24,547.15. During the day, Nifty PSU Bank registered an intraday high of 7,078.1. On the index, all 12 stocks advanced.
