Stock Market LIVE: Sensex zooms 900 pts, Nifty atop 26,150; Bank Nifty hits

Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates:In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap index rose 1.1 per cent and the SmallCap index was up 1.2 per cent.

Sensex today | Stock Market LIVE Updates, Wednesday, November 26, 2025: Indian benchmarks were trding firmly higher on Wednesday, riding the global upbeat sentiment.  Around 12:10 PM, the BSE Sensex index was at 85,443.62, up 856.61 points or 1.01 per cent. The Nifty50, too, was at 26,155.10, up 270.30 points or 1.04 per cent. 

In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap index rose 1.1 per cent and the SmallCap index was up 1.2 per cent.

 

Global markets are holding gains for a third straight day as investors bet on a rate cut by the US Federal Reserve in December 2025.  Tata Motors PV, Trent, Adani Ports, Tata Steel, Reliance Industries, L&T, Ultratech Cement, Infosys, Maruti Suzuki, ICICI Bank, and Tech M were the top gainers on the Sensex today. On the flipside, Bharti Airtel, HUL, and TCS were the only losers.

 

In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap index, and the Nifty SmallCap index added 1 per cent each. 

 

Among sectors, the Nifty Bank index hit a new record high of 59,497.75, edging over 1 per cent higher. Besides, the broad-based rally was led by the Nifty Metal index (up 1.69 per cent), the Nifty PSU Bank index (1.75 per cent), the Nifty Pvt Bank index (1 per cent), and the Nifty FInancial Services index (1 per cent).

Stock Market LIVE Updates: LightSpeed Photonics, which provides technology that speeds up data transfer while lowering powering consumption, has raised $6.5 million in a funding round led by pi Ventures.

 

Other participants in the pre-series A round included 500 Global, Indian Accelerator and 8X Ventures & Java Capital and angel investors in the Bay Area in California, United States. LightSpeed now has a total funding of around $8.5 million, including grants. READ MORE

Stock Market LIVE Updates: Sensex zooms 881 pts, Nifty tops 26100; why are stock markets rising today?

Stock Market LIVE Updates: Market bulls run amok on Dalal Street on Wednesday, taking equity benchmark indices – BSE Sensex, and NSE Nifty – higher by 1 per cent.

 

The 30-stock Sensex index jumped 881 points or 1.1 per cent to hit an intraday high of 85,468 on November 26, 2025. The index’s all-time high stands at 85,978 – barely 510 points away from today’s high.

 

The 50-stock Nifty index, meanwhile, soared 276 points (over 1 per cent) to hit a high of 26,161 during the day. The index, too, is just 116 away from its record high of 26,277.

 

Both the benchmarks last claimed their all-time highs in September 2024.

 

Meanwhile, in the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap index, and the Nifty SmallCap index added over 1 per cent each in a broad-based rally. READ MORE

Stock Market LIVE Updates: The cryptocurrency market showed early signs of stabilisation after last week’s sharp sell-off, with Bitcoin trading in a narrow band of $85,000–$89,000 throughout the week. Large-cap tokens have led the modest recovery, even as mid-cap and smaller altcoins continue to lag following a phase of heavy deleveraging. The total market capitalisation has recovered to around $3.07 trillion, underscoring a cautious improvement in risk sentiment.

 

 

The broader environment, Edul Patel, CEO of Mudrex, said, remains heavily influenced by macroeconomic cues. “While declining consumer confidence in the US and weakness in the private-sector labour market have created a risk-off sentiment, they also raise the likelihood of the Fed adopting a less restrictive monetary stance. Stock Market LIVE Updates: Shares of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) hit a new high of ₹4,075.55, gaining 2 per cent on the BSE in Wednesday’s intra-day trade amid heavy volumes. The stock price of the civil construction major surpassed its previous high of ₹4,062.50 touched on October 30, 2025.

 

At 11:44 AM; L&T was trading 1.5 per cent higher at ₹4,053.10, as compared to 0.89 per cent rise in the BSE Sensex. A combined 847,000 equity shares changed hands on the NSE and BSE.

 

In the past four months, L&T has outperformed the market by surging 18 per cent, as against 5.5 per cent rise in the benchmark index. READ MORE
