Sensex today | Stock Market LIVE Updates today, Monday, November 3, 2025: After a lower start, Indian stock markets were seen staging a comeback; albeit with voltile moves

 

The BSE Sensex index was quoting at 84,003, up 64 points or 0.08 per cent, while the Nifty50 was at erased losses to trade at 25,758, higher by 36 points or 0.14 per cent. The indices hit lows of 83,609, and 25,646, respectively, in the morning deals. 

Maruti Suzuki (down over 3 per cent), Titan Company, Eternal, BEL, Adani Ports, Axis Bank, ITC, NTPC, Bajaj Finserv, HCL, and Trent were the top Sensex losers today. On the upside, M&M, SBI, Tata Motors PV, and L&T were the top gainers.

 

In the broader makets, the Nifty MidCap index added 0.42 per cent and the Nifty SmallCap index 0.82 per cent.  Among sectors, the Nifty PSU Bank index is up 1.6 per cent, led by Bank of Baroda (up 5 per cent), Canara Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, Bank of India, and Indian Bank. That apart, the Nifty Metal, and Realty indices added up to 2 per cent. On the flipside, the Nifty FMCG, Private Bank, and IT indices fell up to 0.4 per cent.

IPOs today

In the mainline IPO segment, the Studds Accessories IPO is set to close for subscription today, while the Lenskart Solutions IPO enters the second day of subscription.

Stock Market LIVE Updates: Exports of gems and jewellery to the United States (US) were hit the hardest in September, following the full impact of the 50 per cent tariff that took effect during the month. Shipments of pearls, precious, and semi-precious stones plunged 76.7 per cent during the month, while exports of gold and other precious metal jewellery dropped 71.1 per cent, disaggregated data released by the commerce department showed.

 

During the month, exports of cotton fabrics and madeups (-36.2 per cent), marine products (-26.9 per cent), industrial machinery for dairy (-28.1 per cent), readymade garments (-25 per cent), drug formulations (-16.4 per cent) and auto components (-12 per cent) also contracted in double digits. READ MORE

Stock Market LIVE Updates: India’s sweeping consumption tax cut drove shoppers to splurge on items from cars to kitchenware during the month-long festival season, boosting the economy that was slammed with a 50 per cent import levy by the US.

 

Spending between Sept 22 and Oct 21 — the period between the Hindu festivals of Navratri and Diwali — increased 8.5 per cent from the same time last year, according to data from retail intelligence platform Bizom shared with Bloomberg News.
