IPL 2024 SRH vs MI Highlights: Hyderabad hold nerves to win historic match
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) beat Mumbai Indians (MI) by 31 runs to win a historic game of cricket in which a total number of 423 runs were scored, the most for any match in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. With this win on Wednesday, March 27, Hyderabad registered their first-ever win in this season.
Chasing 278 to win, Mumbai rode on the half-century by Tilka Varma and crucial innings from Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Tim David. However, all that was not enough to see them through at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
SRH recorded the highest-ever total in the league's history as they posted 277/3 in 20 overs against MI. They broke the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)'s record of 263/5 created in 2013.
Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen scored fifties for the home team while debutant Kwena Maphaka recorded the worst-ever figures for a debutant in IPL's history, going for 0/66 in his four overs.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad have played Travis Head and not Glenn Phillips in place of Marco Jansen. Natrajan is out with a niggle and Jaydev Unadkat has replaced him. The Mumbai Indians have given a chance to South African youngster Kwena Maphaka.
