New Delhi based startup, ShopTheLooks has launched an AI-driven Fashion-Tech product that automatically turns creators' social media profiles into shoppable stores. Ocean, an influencer, said that it's a new way for her to earn passive income without even having to lift a finger or put an effort, unlike other platforms.

The AI of ShopTheLooks detects clothes, footwear, bags, and accessories visible in creators' photos and videos and links them to similar products on the eCommerce websites. Thus when a sale happens via influencers' stores, the influencer gets to earn up to 10% commission per sale. Likewise, ShopTheLooks has also opened up a new opportunity for brands to sell via influencers' social media handles. Best part about the platform is that the entire shop-building and updating process is automated, and influencers' stores get ready within 15 minutes of signing up. Even everyday updates like posting new content, and creating shop-the-looks are taken care of by the AI. The Influencers' ShopTheLooks store is always in sync with their social media accounts, which means any new post made by the influencer will be automatically converted into shop-the-looks.

From the aspect of competition, ShopTheLooks is set to disrupt the creator commerce space, in which the existing players like LTK had recorded a GMV of USD 3 Billion in 2021. On the LTK platform, influencers manually post looks and find and tag products which requires a daily commitment. Also when a product goes out of stock it's a loss of revenue for the influencer as there is no way to know and replace it. On the other hand, ShopTheLooks solves the above problems via automation. Influencer stores are always updated with the latest posts and products, without them even lifting a finger.

OVER 500 INFLUENCER STORES LISTING PRODUCTS OF OVER 50 FASHION BRANDS

ShopTheLooks is already in partnership with over 50 fashion brands and automatically maps their catalog to the influencer content. These private label brands pay a per-sale commission to ShopTheLooks, which is then passed on to the influencer. ShopTheLooks acts as a new marketing and distribution channel for smaller fashion brands and enables social commerce for them. More than 500 influencers have launched their ShopTheLooks stores, including prominent influencers like Prachi Kapoor and Ocean Thakur. The company says around 2000 influencers have also pre-registered for their store launch.

ShopTheLooks' founders Rohit Jaiswal and Kushal Likhi have been in the Fashion-Tech industry for 3 years. The company's other fashion-tech products were also used by Myntra and Flipkart to add social commerce experience on their platforms. Kushal Likhi has also served as the Vice President of Technology in ClassPlus before starting ShopTheLooks.

The startup has received investments from Capital-A, Collective Artists Network (CAN) and is growing under the mentorship of industry veterans like Rohit Raj, and Vijay Subramaniam. Rohit Raj says, "creator commerce is on the rise, and ShopTheLooks with a unique offering which automates and simplifies the process of commerce for the creators is definitely a game-changer. This enables creators to monetize without the hassle of finding & tagging items and the freedom to do what they do best, create. The initial response to their pilot program is a testament to the disruption that is to follow."
