Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan Highlights
Sri Lanka avenged their Asia Cup opening match loss against Afghanistan by winning the opening match of the Super Four against the same opponent. The Lankans chased down a record 176 with five balls to spare. Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Dhanushka Gunathilaka, Kusal Mendis and Pathum Nissanka all scored in the 30s.
Earlier in the evening, after winning the toss and deciding to field first, Sri Lanka dropped Rahmanullah Gurbaz very early in the match. He made them pay big time with his brilliant 84. However, the Lankan bowlers made a great comeback in the last five overs and gave away only 37 runs and took five wickets to restrict Afghanistan to 175-6 in their 20 overs.

It was only fair that even after finishing on the losing side, Rahmanullah Gurbaz was awarded the Player of the Match prize. He scored a brilliant 84 off just 45 balls. He hit four fours and six sixes and took a brilliant catch as well.
