Information Technology stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index increasing 128.59 points or 0.43% at 29943.19 at 09:47 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, NELCO Ltd (up 4.24%), Xelpmoc Design and Tech Ltd (up 2.14%),Tanla Platforms Ltd (up 2.03%),Mphasis Ltd (up 1.73%),Intellect Design Arena Ltd (up 1.61%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Datamatics Global Services Ltd (up 1.52%), Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd (up 1.48%), R Systems International Ltd (up 1.45%), Subex Ltd (up 1.38%), and Ramco Systems Ltd (up 1.25%).
On the other hand, Brightcom Group Ltd (down 5%), Aurum Proptech Ltd (down 2.98%), and Happiest Minds Technologies Ltd (down 2.3%) turned lower.
At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 38.7 or 0.07% at 55342.47.
The Nifty 50 index was down 34.8 points or 0.21% at 16487.95.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 8.26 points or 0.03% at 26542.79.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 20.19 points or 0.25% at 8165.27.
On BSE,1473 shares were trading in green, 1186 were trading in red and 131 were unchanged.
