FMCG stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index decreasing 47.49 points or 0.34% at 14026.61 at 13:47 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index, GRM Overseas Ltd (down 4.47%), Heritage Foods Ltd (down 1.82%),Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd (down 1.79%),CCL Products (India) Ltd (down 1.42%),Hindustan Foods Ltd (down 1.36%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Associated Alcohols & Breweries Ltd (down 1.35%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd (down 1.34%), Radico Khaitan Ltd (down 1.25%), Triveni Engineering and Industries Ltd (down 1.17%), and Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd (down 1.15%).
On the other hand, Godfrey Phillips India Ltd (up 5.39%), Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd (up 5.24%), and Tilaknagar Industries Ltd (up 4.97%) turned up.
At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 369.61 or 0.67% at 55750.78.
The Nifty 50 index was up 81.75 points or 0.49% at 16604.5.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 114.1 points or 0.43% at 26648.63.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 0.82 points or 0.01% at 8184.64.
On BSE,1833 shares were trading in green, 1391 were trading in red and 138 were unchanged.
