FMCG stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index rising 84.56 points or 0.54% at 15862.82 at 09:47 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index, Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd (up 10.54%), Rossell India Ltd (up 4.78%),Hatsun Agro Product Ltd (up 3.25%),BCL Industries Ltd (up 2.98%),DFM Foods Ltd (up 2.91%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (up 2.74%), Prataap Snacks Ltd (up 2.49%), EID Parry (India) Ltd (up 2.33%), Chamanlal Setia Exports Ltd (up 2.17%), and Goodricke Group Ltd (up 1.98%).
On the other hand, AVT Natural Products Ltd (down 1.76%), Manorama Industries Ltd (down 1.49%), and Medplus Health Services Ltd (down 1.43%) moved lower.
At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 73.18 or 0.12% at 60186.95.
The Nifty 50 index was down 23.15 points or 0.13% at 17921.1.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 156.7 points or 0.55% at 28499.7.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 39.78 points or 0.44% at 8993.59.
On BSE,1772 shares were trading in green, 1022 were trading in red and 126 were unchanged.
