Financials stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE Finance index falling 123.73 points or 1.45% at 8407.69 at 13:47 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Finance index, Computer Age Management Services Ltd (down 3.7%), IIFL Finance Ltd (down 3.6%),IndusInd Bank Ltd (down 3.29%),Canara Bank (down 3.11%),Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Ltd (down 3.02%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Karnataka Bank Ltd (down 2.87%), Nippon Life India Asset Management Ltd (down 2.83%), RBL Bank Ltd (down 2.67%), IIFL Securities Ltd (down 2.56%), and Angel One Ltd (down 2.55%).
On the other hand, Repco Home Finance Ltd (up 16.94%), Dhanvarsha Finvest Ltd (up 4.37%), and Spandana Sphoorty Financial Ltd (up 2.42%) moved up.
At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 621.97 or 1.03% at 59676.03.
The Nifty 50 index was down 181.5 points or 1.01% at 17775.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 188.87 points or 0.66% at 28249.7.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 82.75 points or 0.92% at 8890.89.
On BSE,1348 shares were trading in green, 1995 were trading in red and 130 were unchanged.
