Among the other constituents of the index, J K Cements Ltd decreased 3.86% and The Ramco Cements Ltd lost 3.16% on the day. The S&P BSE Basic Materials index went down 0.81 % over last one year compared to the 7.89% surge in benchmark SENSEX.
