India has increased the export tax on locally produced crude oil and cut the tax on aviation turbine fuel and diesel, according to a government notification on Tuesday.

Government has raised petroleum crude tax to Rs 17,750 per tonne from Rs 17,000 per tonne, while cutting the tax on jet fuel to zero from Rs 4 per litre and diesel to Rs 5 per litre from Rs 11 per litre.

Excise duty on export of petrol continues to be nil.
