Live news updates: A man died and others were injured after Telangana police opened fire on a mob at Secunderabad railway station as protests against the government’s new Agnipath military recruitment scheme escalated into arson on Friday morning.
Bihar, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh reported violent protests against the new scheme. The government has defended the Agnipath scheme, calling it "transformative".
Indian conglomerate Reliance Industries is considering buying out Revlon Inc in the United States, days after the cosmetics giant filed for bankruptcy, business channel ET Now reported, citing sources.
The report comes as Revlon filed for bankruptcy earlier this week after global supply chain disruptions drove up raw material costs and prompted vendors to demand upfront payments.
