Data story: India logs 14,830 new Covid cases, active tally at 147,512

India has so far administered 2,025,057,717 vaccine doses

India reported a decrease of 3,365 in active coronavirus cases to take its count to 147,512. The country is twenty-ninth among the most affected countries globally by active cases. On July 26, it added 14,830 cases to take its total caseload to 43,920,451. And, with 36 new fatalities, its Covid-19 death toll reached 526,110 , or 1.20 per cent of total confirmed infections.
 

With 3,042,476 more Covid-19 vaccine doses being administered on July 25, India’s total count of vaccine shots so far reached 2,025,057,717. The count of recovered coronavirus cases across India, meanwhile, reached 43,246,829 — or 98.47 per cent of the total caseload — with 18,159 new cured cases being reported on July 26.
