India reported an increase of 797 in active coronavirus cases to take its count to 92,576. The country is twenty-fourth among the most affected countries globally by active cases. On June 26, it added 11,739 cases to take its total caseload to 43,389,973. And, with 25 new fatalities, its Covid-19 death toll reached 524,999, or 1.21 per cent of total confirmed infections.

With 1,272,739 more Covid-19 vaccine doses being administered on June 25, India’s total count of vaccine shots so far reached 1,970,851,580. The count of recovered coronavirus cases across India, meanwhile, reached 42,772,398 — or 98.58 per cent of the total caseload — with 10,917 new cured cases being reported on June 26.
