The final day of the
Commonwealth games 2022 witnessed six medal matches. While PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen and Chirag Shetty-Sairaj Satwik Rankireddy duo bagged gold, the Indian hockey team lost to Australia in the men's hockey team final, and managed to get the silver.
In Table Tennis, Achanta Sharath Kamal clinched a gold for India, while Sathiyan Gnanasekaran got his much-deserved bronze medal. With this, India ends their campaign on a happy note and stays ahead of New Zealand.
Day 10 was one of India’s finest performances as they bagged 15 medals in a single day. Nikhat Zareen, Nitu Ghangas and Amit Panghal bagged gold for India in boxing. Also, Achanta Sharath Kamal with Sreeja Akula bagged the gold medal in mixed doubles table tennis, while Sharath Kamal also won a silver medal in table tennis. The Indian women’s cricket team managed a silver medal after being defeated by Australia in the final.
Sagar Ahlawat was another name who won a silver medal in boxing in Men’s 92+kg super heavyweight category. In Badminton, Gayathri Gopichand-Treesa Jolly secured the women’s doubles bronze, while Kidambi Srikanth also won a bronze in the men’s singles category.
Apart from that, India got its second medal in squash after Dipika Pallikal Karthik- Saurav Ghosal managed a bronze. Abdullah Aboobacker added silver in men’s triple athletics, while Eldhose Paul won the gold medal in the same category, taking India’s athletics tally to 8 medals.
The Indian women's hockey team also won a bronze medal match, while Annu Rani and Sandeep Kumar also got bronze medals.
On Day 9, India won 14 medals which takes their tally to 40. Wrestlers Naveen Kumar, Ravi Dahiya, and Vinesh Phogat clinched gold medals, while Deepak Nehra, Pooja Gehlot, Pooja Sihag, and Pooja Gehlot got bronze in their respective categories.
Avinash Sable and Priyanka Goswami also bagged silver medals in the athletics event, while Men’s fours lawn bowls team settles for a silver after losing against Northern Ireland.
Indian Hockey Team ensured a medal by defeating South Africa by 3-2 in the men’s hockey semi-final match. Bajrang Punia, Deepak Punia, and Sakshi Malik clinch gold at Commonwealth Games 2022 freestyle wrestling events. In the other three freestyle wrestling events, Anshu Malik bagged silver, whereas Divya Kakran and Mohit Grewal also won bronze medals.
India won 12 medals in wrestling events. On Day 11, India will hope to add some more medals to their total tally and remain on top of their game.

India will have a chance to clinch six more medals on the final day of CWG 2022 and surpass New Zealand in the medal tally. With 61 medals, India may not have been the best team in CWG, yet they've won all the hearts.
