	Ravinder Takkar is the managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) of Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi). He was appointed as MD and CEO for a period of three years with effect from August 19, 2019, following the resignation of Balesh Sharma.</div>

	He has a degree in computer science engineering from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles.<br />

	Takkar is currently a non-executive director on the Board of the Company and Indus Towers (a joint venture between Vodafone India, Airtel and Idea), where he is responsible for all Vodafone Group interests in India, a role which he took on in 2017.</div>

	Prior to his current role, he was the CEO of Vodafone Romania for three years and the chief executive of Vodafone Partner Markets based in London. He has also served as a management consultant at the DMR Group.</div>

	The Vi CEO has worked in several leadership positions across Vodafone&#39;s operating companies over the last two decades.</div>

	Takkar, an experienced global executive with over 25 years of experience in the ICT sector, has been involved in the Indian telecom industry since 2006 when Vodafone Group entered the Indian market and has been associated with Vodafone Group since 1994. He has held a number of senior roles in strategy and business development and was the CEO of the enterprise business.</div>

	Takkar had also led the Indian telecom industry as the Chairman of the industry body, Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), in the year 2019-20.</div>
